enjoying the missionary life

I don't know what to write for this week it was all good... though we had someone named Jonatàn come to church and he seems to be liking it. but he is still searching an answer and we are trying to help him recognize he has it already though, I think is unsure because he will have to change a lot of things about his life, but we have had some good times teaching him, we often go with the president of the branch, he is cool and smart to, and happens to be a good friend of Jonatàn. things are passing fast. There isn`t to much time here. I am enjoying the missionary life though, lots of happiness although it doesn't seem fun it is still rewarding, you also get to see a lot of accomplishments and that is a fun thing.  we had a good conference with Elder Gonzales the seventy over the area, he is cool and so is his wife they gave some cool tips I have started to use a bit and some cool stories,  well I am getting mad at this computer it is so annoying ahahahahahahahahahahahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ah . 

I have a testimony

I have a testimony that we were called in this time to a mission here on earth life as a call to progress and live better, the time we are in is important and the Lord is with us every step, meaning He knows and offers help always, we can always have help no matter the circumstances the love and help consistently exists if we live right we feel the effects. I know that life is a great time to grow and learn as well as progress, have faith to humility and change, ask and receive is the counsel we often listen to, what person asks in faith that doesn't receive? no one I have heard of, what little kid asks for something to a loving father that won`t receive. faith shapes us to do what is right. I think I am learning just a tiny bit at a time everyday here, sometimes it is from mistakes and getting up as to not fall again or watching other people and their good examples. Just a quick thing I remember, a while ago this past few days actually we found some cool people that look like their desires a pretty good, one name Antonio was a guy we found walking around a little area called asentamiento it is a nice place a bit poorer, it reminds me of a villige. some of the houses there are like tents. the people are pretty humble and kind and it is a sort of danger challenge to them as we saw just a bit ago, antonio anyway lived in one of the tents over in there so we taught him by his house, he was perfectly fine standing for the lesson so we went ahead and taught him el evangelio and he was so happy he has been looking for a change and wants to stop the bad things going on, it sounds like he wants to repent and wake up from his nightmare, fair enough so we tried sharing what the Lord wants for him and he accepted things, we tried to pray in his house and he accepted an invite to baptize without flinching. we have also been teaching this week with a cool member, it has been some time since he got off his mission but his skills are in me and my companion`s opinion some of the best we have seen, and we just taught a great guy a while ago and he also accepted the baptismal invitation. that is a goal for all the mission as it has been for my time here and it is getting stressed by pretty much all the members and leaders. We have set a high number of dates for baptism here and so hopefully we can just keep on finding people and they progress. The Spirit is one of the biggest things in finding I would say as everyone knows. well love you have a good one and hope you can feel the influence of the Gospel in your lifes and it makes you so full of love that you drown in it....drown in it. jk but seriously

Book of Mormon is the word of God

Letter starts sharing a very beautiful personal dream....I was just thinking about how much the Lord actually guides me and communicates with all of His children that look, I have seen so many times how the nice details of my life lead to the Lord blessing me, how His plan is perfect and how peaceful that makes me to know that there is an atonement and mercy. 5 Therefore, gird up your loins, that you may be the children of light, and that day shall not overtake you as a thief.

another cool thing I was remembering when I woke up I had the words come, if you shall endure it well, it will be a small time´´ or something like that it was a few days ago, I was really everyday this week, and my testimony is constantly getting strengthened. We had a good time in Church yesterday taking the sacrament and after we finished planning and things we did some visits when some people and had dinner with a member that is really nice, she seems to always give us good references and she gives a good background on people in contact around her. she reminds me of you a little bit and she calls us her sons, she has helped baptize many people and she always likes to help them for the strong testimony she has. we leave her house with a prayer because she always asks. it is really interesting how some people have such strong testimonies that what their doing is right because they feel it. I will try to be like that sometimes but I feel like some people have that as a Spiritual gift, they just go and do stuff, or take opportunities as original as they are just because they are good. 

My testimony is the Book of Mormon is the word of God, Alma 37 teaches that in a good example using the liahona and ending the journey. a scripture I learned in my study today talks to me, I felt the Spirit guide me to read it or I would not have found it and the things really help me for this time in my life. love you chow

best way to learn and teach, humility

well how are you. the work is going good, i feel like this change here can be a good one, i feel that this time we may harvest the labors or however its said I cant remember to well. we have a good number of potential people, so my companion just got a call a couple of minutes ago and a member said she has some friends that want to hear the missionaries so hopefully they want to hear the Gospel. also yesterday we were just doing some contacting and me and my companion like to contact I have learned to love the people more that I don't know, this time we passed by some cool youngens that wanted to hear a bit and have potential to progress, one had a cool experience with sincere prayer and his dad is doing better, anyway the cool part is that they were found and if we didn't listen to the promptings of the Spirit we would be in a different spot. the Spirit is such a powerful part to the work it outnumbers odds and leads us to the very spot of the Lord`s desire, yesterday we would not have walked by them if we didn't listen to the Spirit.my companion is a good example of having courage and doing what the Lord wants of us. He has taught me a lot by just following the Savior, that is the best way to learn and teach, humility. It is very hard but worth it to follow the Spirit in many cases, and I am learning here daily that, failure and trying again and all that stuff but there is always a way to try again, just on that note there was a cool less active we had found yesterday also. He must have been so happy inside when he took a bit of courage to listen and we talked about faith and repentance and I feel that he really was happy to hear that, he said that he was going to read in the Book of Mormon we gave him, he managed to lose his other after being inactive about 15 years. this simple visit could have changed his life, i really feel that he learned or felt something in the visit, he just said something like ``thanks and hm,`` the little things bring lots of blessings. 

I know that the Lord is always there, the humble have answers to their prayers, the love that can be felt outweighs fear and faith is one thing we have to use to accomplish our goals. I know that prayer can have an amazing role in our lives, we can come to know the Savior more and live like Him, happy and free from sin. I think if anyone is having trouble they should pray, I have noticed that the Lord is very concerned with my problems and all, but he helps us as we walk blindly based on what is felt.

16,17 this is what usually comes then 22:4 where is he and 3 check it out same idea as ammon, he understands that serving him would be serving the Lord.

prepared many people to hear and receive the word

Well it has been a good one, the change went really fast this time but it had a lot of good times. One highlight of this past week was when we were on a division in this area and we were out contacting, I felt the Spirit guiding me until we walked past a house where there was an investigator that seemed pretty golden was standing in her front yard just as we had found her at the first of this change, of course we walked over to greet her after passing so many times before and never seeing her there. Then it turned out that she walked inside and a friend took her place and told us she was sick, that made me sick almost hearing that, it was a lame excuse made probably to reject us just as had happened recently on another division here with another golden looking investigator. I knew it should not have got me down but it made me feel a little mad that people all seem to just reject the best thing in this life, I sort of thought of Alma when he went around preaching and the people rejected him, then the Lord sent help, I read that chapter today in my study. Anyway at this time we just keep using this time up to find people, and I saw the Lord bless me a lot, He has prepared many people to hear and receive the word. We found a investigator that is really receptive that day and wanted to listen, and we had a really spiritual lesson with a part member family that is usually not there and it really helped her I think and certainly me too, with my testimony, knowing the church is true in my opinion, is important but there is a lot more of a testimony to gain if that is all you have. I have a better testimony now that the Lord is aware of our cares and feelings and that He prepares people. 
this week has gone really good I am enjoying things here the more I learn and try and recognize that I am not really doing the work just my part thats all.

the work of Salvation is the best work I will ever do

Well isn´t summer coming up, I like that time of year when it is slightly cold out side. Well this week was good for me, I am really enjoying the work here, it can be really rewarding, it reminds me of what I read in my study today in Mosiah where his sons and Alma the younger want to go on a misión and they want to go just to ensure nobody feels as low as they did when they didnt have the Gospel, not only did they have the desire but they went and did it, that is really showing faith, they went to their dad and asked if they could go. then mabye you can imagine being the dad that prays to see if your kids can go to serve in a dangerous looking country and then trusting the answer that they will all be fine and going and telling them that. I certainly have not aquired quite the same humility and desire of the sons of Mosiah or Alma but the more my faith grows it feels like missionary work becomes more desirable. I think that the work of Salvation is the best work I will ever do. Yesterday we contacted a guy that seemed to drink a lot but as we talked to him I sort of felt like he was understanding more and he told us that he felt the Spirit, then he started telling us that nobody really has faith that lives around him and he was crying and stuff because he remembers when he used to be so much happier when he went to church and then one day his old church kicked him out for some sort of sin he did. He really was able to feel good listening to the message from the Lord, of yes it is posible to repent, I found in my study today some useful tips to help people with addictions so hopefully we can find him and he can apply them. I know the Savior can help us if we allow Him into our lives I feel like my life is being well taken care of by His power much through you guys

and especially to Mom not because it is Mother´s day but I just had on my mind some of the time that you had felt inspired to teach me things or pray or ask questions that helped my Spirit grow, I am not sure where I would end up without that help earlier on in my life. so thanks a lot love you and have a good start of summer.

Lord is always inviting us

Well we have had another good week pass by. I feel like the Sacrament went really good this week even though the number of people was low. Some good things are happening, I am trying to invite more people to baptism by explaining it a bit more in the contacts we have, it seems you can be fairly bold about saying the truth, especially baptism and you can give it so obviously and people just don´t care most the time. I am sure Nephi felt similar 7 And now I, Nephi, cannot say more; the Spirit stoppeth mine utterance, and I am left to mourn because of the unbelief, and the wickedness, and the ignorance, and the stiffneckedness of men; for they will not search knowledge, nor understand great knowledge, when it is given unto them in plainness, even as plain as word can be. I am sure the Lord feels similarly as well 3 Angels speak by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore, they speak the words of Christ. Wherefore, I said unto you, feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do.
4 Wherefore, now after I have spoken these words, if ye cannot understand them it will be because ye ask not, neither do ye knock; wherefore, ye are not brought into the light, but must perish in the dark.
. The Lord is always inviting us to learn more and when we reject Him some times we think we are helping ourselves. It is as clear as building your light up or losing the light you have. It is interesting that when things get explained very directly they can still be misunderstood. I shared that part of 2 Nefi 32 with someone yesterday that did not feel like reading the scriptures, I think if he would just listen to the Spirit as he read mabye one verse he might want to read a lot more.
