Well, any way, this week was good.
We found tons of new people! So K, the guy we baptized is
T, we met his brother here in b! Me and Elder j who
was my MTC comp. were on a split. We decided to visit a last house
before dinner. K brother introduced himself that he was from
B, Aa village. Me and Elder H went there later. Elder
h and he reintroduced themselves, we asked what his dad's name
was, Ta. It rung a bell, so I asked if he knew K, he
explained that Ka was his older brother! It was pretty cool.
B is an awesome place. K brother, R, explained
that he would be willing to take lessons because we were apparently
the first missionaries from our church to visit him. I'm not sure how
long he's been in B, it's crazy how many people here haven't been
tracted before though! ... So unfortuately, R is going to sea
again for a few months. We're gonna write his name down in the area
book for them to check back on and teach in a few months if we're not
here. It's crazy how we ran into them out of like the tens of
thousands of people in betio.
Me and Elder haycock did another split yesterday with two ysa
melchizedek priesthood holders. It went way awesome. We got fellowship
for a few of our people. This really cool old guy named U is gonna
come to a ward activity, family home evening, because he's got
fellowship from a guy he knows from Christmas island who lives here in
b now as well. Ea and his wife didn't make it to church this
week, they said their baby was sick. but we've got hopes for them
nonetheless. E is doing way awesome with word of wisdom. His wife
T is already in 2nd Nephi, which is unusually fast and
diligent in my experience.
It's cool to see how as people willingly read the book of mormon, they
grow in conversion. Well, thanks again for all you guys do! The church
is true! love you all! - Elder Seffker
