potential of what missionaries can achieve

So
this week we saw huge blessing. We had some really effective lessons
with our people. We found tons of new people. We got some good
referrals from other missionaries. We've had lots of help from ward
members in fellowshipping our investigators! We got this one referral
from sisters. His name is B. His wife was baptized long ago in
the 80's. She hasn't been since for a long time. He's got a pretty big
family, most of his kids are married, his youngest still lives with
him. He's 16. His name is Ta. He kind of reminds me of St! Any
way, we lessoned with the parents yesterday... B went to church
that morning. it was like 30 minutes past the time and he didn't
really have church clothes, but he had a really strong desire to go to
church, so he found something to wear and made it just in time for the
sacrament. We lessoned with him yesterday, he'd already lessoned with
missionaries long ago, and was almost baptized, but he moved or
something just before. He's already show tons of diligence in keeping
the commitments. He read before we even gave him a book of mormon or
asked him to read. He's way awesome. Ea and his wife are doing
awesome. In our short 6ish weeks of lessoning with E and his wife,
T his wife has nearly finished 2 Nephi. Ea came to church
yesterday. He's got an awesome fellowship who picked him up for
church. They work at the same place. The ward was way welcoming of
E as well. They made sure he knew about the upcoming activites,
were friendly toward him. Sunday turned out way good. We got another
awesome referral from sisters this week as well, a family of 4 T,
T, j, and t. We're just working on helping T get
to church. He works a lot, so we only lesson with that family on like
Friday and Sunday. Well, I have some pretty good studies this week.
I've kind of just been reading from the Book of Mormon and then PMG.
It's been good. I was able to get my hands on the Riciardi letters.
It's pretty good. It's not like scripture, but it does have some good
examples of some of the potential of what missionaries can achieve. It
teaches some good lessons. PMG is way useful. I've been studying
teaching skills a little bit lately. I like how it talks about how we
need to listen to the Spirit in order to truly discern needs. It's
like Richard J. Maynes recent talk of how he had to stop giving the
missionary the advice he thought he needed, but had to take a step
back and ask questions. Any way, thanks for all your prayers for us
and our people! Love you all!! - Elder Seffker
